what metals are used for all too weld’s permanent jewelry?
all too weld uses sterling silver, gold filled, and 14k gold chains and charms.
what is gold filled jewelry?
gold filled jewelry is jewelry that is plated with gold (all too weld uses mostly 14k and 18k gold) but is filled with an alternate metal. this metal is typically silver, brass, or steel.
does permanent jewelry tarnish or wear?
yes! permanent jewelry is precious metal, and just like any jewelry piece the coloring and steadfastness can be affected by your body ph, daily activities, skincare products, and maintenance. permanent jewelry may not be for you if you’re a frequent swimmer, athlete, or are prone to skin allergies.
how can i clean my permanent jewelry piece?
just like any jewelry, ensure that you are taking care to avoid harsh chemicals. clean your jewelry with white toothpaste, soap and water, or a jewelry polish/cleaner that is designed for the metal you purchased.
why don’t you offer thicker chains?
since permanent jewelry does not have a clasp, thinner chains are used to ensure that in the case of a serious snag, your jewelry gives way and not your body part!
why do i need to sign a waiver?
the waiver is here to ensure your full understanding that permanent jewelry is not truly “permanent” and is subject to wear, tear, and breakage like any jewelry piece. the process of welding the piece, called micro-TIG or pulse arc welding, is a very low risk and low energy process, but does carry some risk of minor burns to the skin or retina if the process is observed without proper eye protection.
i had to remove my permanent jewelry or it broke, what now?
all too weld is happy to offer free re-welds within 30 days or $20 re-welds after that. re-welds do not include new chain or chain extensions, so be sure to bring your existing chain.
